Bhastrika Pranayam:

The word “Bhastrika Pranayama” comes from the Sanskrit word Bhastrika, which basically means breathing like a bellows.

Steps of Bhastrika Pranayam

Sit on floor on a mat relax your body and mind. Breathe in deeply through your nostrils. First, Take a deep breath in (inhale), filling the lungs with air and forcing the stomach out. After that gently breathe out and abdomen shrinking . In this inhaling and exhaling should take the same length of time-3 seconds to breathe in and 3 seconds to breathe out. While you breathe in feel in your mind that you are taking in positive energy and vibrations, and that you are being energised by them.During breathe out feel that you are taking out all the toxins from our body. With practice, speed up your breathing. Beginners should always start slowly to avoid hyperventilating, but eventually it will be possible to turn this into a rapid breathing technique. 

Benefits of Bhastrika Pranayama

Bhastrika pranayama increases the oxygen content in the blood. Extra oxygen replenishes the entire body.

This pranayama will relax your mind and you would feel positivity and freshness inside.

Steps of Kapalbhati Pranayama

First sit on the floor and close your eyes and keep the spine straight.

Now take a deep breath (inhale deeply) through your both nostrils until your lungs are full with air.

Now Exhale through both nostrils forcefully, so your stomach will go deep inside.

Do 4 sets of 50 earlier and after few days you can do upto 4 sets of 100.

Anulom Vilom Pranayam: 

Nerves Blockages Cure and Alternate Nostril Breath pranayama. In Anulom Vilom pranayama, breathing is done only through one nostril one by one. During this process, the other nostril is closed using the fingers. The thumb is used to close the right nostril and the ring finger is used to close the left nostril. 

Steps of Anulom Vilom Pranayama 

First of all close your eyes. Focus your attention on your breathing. 

Close the right nostril with the right thumb. Simply press the thumb against your nostril to block it. Inhale deep slowly through the left nostril. Fill your lungs with air. 

Remove your thumb from your right nostril. Keep your right hand by your nose and your lungs full of air. Most people find it easier to continue using the same hand to block either nostril, but you can switch hands depending on which nostril you’re blocking. 

Exhale slowly and completely with the right nostril. When you've finished exhaling, keep your left nostril closed. 

Inhale through the right nostril. Fill your lungs. 

Close the right nostril and open the left. 

Breathe out slowly through the left nostril. This process is called one round of Anulom Vilom Pranayam. 

You can continue for 15 minutes. You may take a minute's rest after every five minutes of exercise. For few days do for 5 minutes than slowly increase your time to reach 15 minutes process. 

Benefits of Anulom Vilom Pranayama

Bahya Pranayam: 

External Breath pranayama. ‘Bahya’ means ‘outside’. As the name indicates, the breath is kept outside during practice. 

Steps of Bahya Pranayam

This is also simple pranayam. Sit in a comfortable position. Breathe inside deeply then exhale completely to evacuate lungs as much as possible. 

Take a deep breath through your nose. Allow the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. After exhale hold your breath. Try to pull your stomach upward as much as you can, pull up the muscles in the area below the navel move your head in down position so that your chin touches your chest. Hold this position for 5 to 10 seconds. Then relax and get back to starting position. In case you are suffering from neck and back pain, do not move your head down. Just look straight. Repeat this process for five to ten times. 

Benefits of Bahya pranayam:-

Steps of Bhramari Pranayam

Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each pinky finger near a nostril. 

Breath in deeply through the nose. Keep your lungs filled. 

Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat, not as a result of your partially-blocked nostrils. Applying very gentle pressure to the sides of your nose.· 

Now concentrate your mind on the area between your eyebrows.· 

Keep your mouth closed; breathe out slowly through your nose with making a humming sound of Om. 

Repeat this process for 6 to 7 times. While doing this Pranayama assume inside that your are being connected to all the positive energies of the universe and you would feel lots of positivity inside.

When allergens are breathed in, the release of histamine causes the lining of your nose to produce lots of mucus and to become swollen and inflamed. Foods which are most commonly associated with allergy include peanuts, seafood, dairy products and eggs. Cow's milk allergy in infants may occur and can cause eczema, asthma, colic and stomach upset. Some people cannot digest lactose (milk sugar). This intolerance to lactose also causes stomach upsets, but must not be confused with allergy.

Skin problems such as eczema, dry, red, itchy skin and urticaria (also known as hives) often occur. Hives are white itchy bumps which look and feel like insect bites. Allergy is not a disease it is a condition developed due to immune system action. There is no proper guaranteed treatment of allergy in allopath. Prevention is real cure of allergy. Preventing allergic reactions depends on the type of allergy you have. General measures include the following:

Avoid Allergy triggers- Keep in mind that even if you're treating your allergy symptoms, try to avoid triggers. If, for example, you're allergic to dust or pollen, stay inside with windows and doors closed when pollen or dust is high. If you're allergic to particular food than avoid that food in your diet.

Note your symptoms- When trying to identify what causes or worsens your allergic symptoms, track your activities and what you eat, when symptoms occur and what seems to help. This may help you and your hospital/doctor identify triggers and treat them accordingly.

Medications used to treat allergies include antihistamines which block histamine release from mast cells, reducing symptoms. Non-sedating antihistamine tablets rarely cause drowsiness and are available from pharmacies without a prescription. Antihistamine nasal and eye sprays can also be used. Cetrizine, Levo cetrizine are some medicines used to get relief from allergy.

To make it crush 10 to 15 leaves of tulsi with few drops of water, drink the drops obtained from it daily with warm water and allergy problem will decrease continuously. You can also mix honey in water.


It’s thought that regularly eating honey helps you to build up an immunity against the pollen and allergens you’re exposed to that’s causing your allergy symptoms. Honey is a natural immune booster. Blisters can form on your skin by burning. Do not prick them. An open blister can easily get infected and become really painful and serious.

Apply anti biotic ointment or Aloe vera gel over the burnt area. Cover the burn lightly with a gauze bandage.

A cool compress or clean wet cloth placed over the burn area really helps relieve pain and swelling. You can apply the compress in 5- to 10 minute intervals. Try not to use excessively cold compresses because they may irritate the burn more.

Honey just got sweeter. Apart from its delicious taste, honey may help heal a minor burn when applied topically. Honey is an anti-inflammatory and naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

Do your best to avoid exposing the burn to direct sunlight. The burned skin will be very sensitive to the sun. Keep it covered with clothing.

These common home burn remedies should be avoided:

Don’t use butter on a burn. There’s little to no evidence supporting the effectiveness of butter as a burn remedy. It may actually make your burn more painful. Butter retains heat and also may be harboring harmful bacteria that can infect the burned skin.

Coconut oil does not heal everything. For the same reason why you shouldn’t apply butter to your burns, oils, such as coconut oil, olive oil, and cooking oils, hold heat in and can even cause the skin to continue to burn.

Never apply toothpaste to a burn. This is another remedy with no evidence to back it up. Toothpaste could irritate the burn and create a more favorable environment for infection. So avoid it.

Third-degree burns should never be treated at home. They carry the risk of serious complications, including infections, blood loss, and shock. Often referred to as a “full-thickness burn,” a third-degree burn reaches underlying tissues and can even damage the nerves.

Burns caused by an electrical shock are also too risky for home treatment. These burns often reach layers under the skin and can even cause damage to internal tissues. The internal damage may be worse than you expect. Don’t take your chances and consult doctor immediately.

Animal or insect  bite can be very painful. So what should we do when an insect or animal bites or scratches a person. Turmeric paste is always helpful and antiseptic in such bites and scratches for immediate relief.

Cat Bite-

Cat is a common cute pet in many houses. Cat’s bites are common injuries, especially in children. Treating a cat bite should always start with the safety including the patient and the rescuer.
The following steps may be taken at the place wherever the bite occurred. As for all animal bites, you should always consult with a qualified physician right away to confirm if further action is needed. All animal bites carry an increased risk for infection. 

Steps that should be taken

1.   Secure the cat or the patient, or both. Move one away from the other. If the cat's known owner is around, tell him to secure the cat. If not, move the patient to a safe location. Cats may bite or scratch if frightened or their kittens are threatened, so leave them alone. Don't start any treatment until there is a reasonable expectation that the cat won't attack again.

2. Practice precautions and wear protection in the hands if available.

3.  First control the bleeding by using direct pressure and elevation. Avoid using a tight bandage unless there is severe bleeding that cannot be controlled any other way. That's unlikely unless the cat is a mountain lion. In the event that direct pressure cannot be maintained for an extended amount of time, direct pressure can be achieved using a dressing.

.                4.  Once the bleeding is controlled, clean wound with soap and warm water            and an antiseptic soap.

5. Cover the wound with a clean, dry dressing. You can put antibiotic ointment on the bite before covering, but that is not absolutely necessary. These bites  and scratches can lead to infection, however. Watch for these signs of infection:

1.   Redness

2.   Swelling

3.   Heat

4.   Pus

·   Consult your doctor. The cut may need stitches. Since they are often deep, cat bites and scratches are of particular concern for infection. Again, regardless of how severe you think the bite is, always consult a physician right away.

·    Wounds on the face or hands should always be evaluated by a doctor because of the likelihood of scarring and potential loss of function.

·    Any unidentified cat runs the risk of carrying rabies. If the cat cannot be identified and the owner cannot show proof of rabies vaccination, the patient must seek medical attention. Rabies is always fatal to humans if not treated.

So it is clear that we all love pets and we should love them but we should always take care of ourselves and children from animal bites or scratches. Always consult a doctor whenever you get an animal bite or scratch.
